正常情况下，CFA协会规定CFA考试是不能延期考试的。但若考生遇到的不可抗力因素所造成不得不推迟考试的情况，是允许申请CFA延考的。不过主要原因只包括一下三种：
1、自己住院向主治医生开生病住院治疗的证明并签字扫描给官方。
2、家人住院主要自己陪床的，要主治医师开证明并签字。
3、家人死亡证明。
CFA考试一旦报名，如没有上为数三项事宜就不能推迟、转让，除非取消考试，但考试报名费不会退还，等报考下一次考试还是需要缴纳考试费（CFA协会的注册费用是终身制的，只需要缴纳一次注册费即可）。
CFA退费说明：
CFA协会明确规定考试费用在完成CFA报名的48小时之内是可以申请退费的。这也表明了如果考生在报名之前没想清楚的话，CFA报名后的48个小时就是黄金时间，如果错过这个时间的话，CFA协会就不予以退费了。
